- Why Bulletproof Zone?
The Radians Lowset 21 are over-ear hearing protection earmuffs rated NRR 21 dB and certified to CSA Z94.2 Class B, designed for users who need reliable noise reduction alongside compatible eyewear. The low-profile, lightweight build and foam-filled cushion earcups make these earmuffs a practical choice for extended wear on ranges, job sites, or in industrial environments. One size is available, in black.
Built to Wear Alongside Safety Glasses
The Radians Lowset 21 earmuffs are engineered with evenly distributed headband tension specifically to accommodate protective safety glasses without creating uncomfortable pressure points. Many over-ear earmuffs press against eyewear temples and break the acoustic seal; the Lowset 21's headband geometry is designed to reduce that interference, so the earcups maintain consistent contact even when glasses are worn underneath.
Comfort Across Long Sessions
The earcups on the Lowset 21 use foam-filled cushion padding to distribute contact pressure across the ear. The headband itself is padded with a moisture-wicking material that draws perspiration away from the skin, helping to keep the contact point cooler during sustained use. The adjustable headband with side wire guides lets the wearer dial in fit rather than accepting a fixed position.
Compact and Easy to Store
The Lowset 21 includes a compact folding feature that collapses the earmuffs for storage or transport. When folded, the earcup openings are enclosed, keeping dust and debris out of the cushion surfaces between uses. This makes the Lowset 21 practical for storage in a range bag or tool kit.

Who This Is For and Isn't
The Radians Lowset 21 suits shooters, range-goers, and workers in moderately loud environments who wear safety glasses and need earmuffs that accommodate eyewear without sacrificing fit or comfort. The CSA Z94.2 Class B certification makes these appropriate for Canadian workplace compliance requirements as well as general use.
The Lowset 21 is not rated for extremely high-noise environments that require a higher NRR than 21 dB. These are passive earmuffs with no electronic sound amplification or communication capability. No ANSI/ISEA S3.19 rating is stated for this product; US OSHA workplace compliance should be verified independently before use in a regulated US workplace context.
Common Questions
What noise reduction rating do the Radians Lowset 21 earmuffs carry?
The Radians Lowset 21 earmuffs carry an NRR of 21 dB, meaning they are rated to reduce noise exposure by 21 decibels under standard test conditions. They are also certified to CSA Z94.2 Class B, the Canadian Standards Association hearing protection standard.
Can the Lowset 21 earmuffs be worn comfortably with safety glasses?
Yes. The Radians Lowset 21 earmuffs are specifically designed with evenly distributed headband tension to allow comfortable simultaneous wear with protective safety glasses, reducing the pressure and seal disruption that eyewear temples can cause with standard over-ear earmuffs.
How do the Lowset 21 earmuffs adjust for fit?
The Lowset 21 earmuffs feature an adjustable headband with side wire guides that allow the wearer to set the earcup height and tension for an individualized fit. The headband is also padded with a moisture-wicking material for comfort during extended wear.
Do the Radians Lowset 21 earmuffs fold for storage?
Yes. The Radians Lowset 21 earmuffs include a compact folding feature that collapses the earcups for easier storage in a bag or kit. When folded, the earcup openings are enclosed, which helps keep dust and debris out of the cushion padding between uses.
Are the Radians Lowset 21 earmuffs electronic or passive?
The Radians Lowset 21 earmuffs are passive hearing protection only. They contain no electronic components, sound amplification, or communication features. Noise reduction is achieved entirely through the physical earcup and cushion design, rated at NRR 21 dB.

The Bulletproof Zone Promise
When you buy body armor, you're buying your safety. We don't take that lightly. Here's what every order from Bulletproof Zone includes.
1. Authorized dealer of every brand we carry
Every plate, vest, and carrier we ship comes from the manufacturer directly to our warehouse. We don't sell gray-market product, surplus, or returns. That means factory-fresh stock, the full manufacturer warranty, and real after-sale support — the kind only an authorized dealer can offer.
We maintain authorized-dealer relationships with America's leading body armor brands, including Spartan Armor Systems, AR500 Armor, RMA Defense, Shellback Tactical, Caliber Armor, DFNDR Armor, Protection Group Denmark, BulletSafe, BulletBlocker, and over 40 more.
2. Best price, guaranteed
If you find a lower price at another authorized dealer of the same product within six months of your purchase, we'll refund the difference.
Why the "authorized dealer" requirement? Because gray-market and surplus armor may not be genuine, may have a compromised supply chain, and almost never comes with a manufacturer warranty. We won't price-match against products that may not actually protect you.
3. Free fitment consultation
Body armor only protects you if it fits. Email us a photo and your measurements before you order, and one of our specialists will help you size your carrier and plates correctly — at no charge, no obligation.
4. Trusted by thousands of customers
Bulletproof Zone has been a trusted authorized dealer of America's leading body armor manufacturers for over five years. We have over 4,000 verified Trustpilot reviews from real customers across all 50 states.
