Adjusting slots and Velcro keepers let the same holster fit a bare pistol, a light-only setup, an MRDS-only setup, or a fully loaded pistol with both a light and optic. Available in Black or Coyote, in right- and left-hand configurations.

Built for Optic and Light-Ready Pistols

The Big Rig Gen II Auto Holster is sized and shaped to accept pistols equipped with frame-mounted lights including the SureFire X300 and Streamlight TLR-1, as well as pistols fitted with a Mini Red Dot Sight. Because the holster uses adjusting slots rather than a fixed retention shell, a shooter does not need a separate holster for each pistol configuration. A few simple adjustments shift the fit from a slick pistol to a fully equipped one, protecting the investment in a single holster across multiple setups.

Adjustable Fit Across Conditions

The Big Rig Gen II is designed to ride over cold-weather gear when layers add bulk, and can be cinched down for minimal-profile carry in warmer conditions. The chest-carry position keeps the pistol accessible during activities where a hip holster would be blocked or uncomfortable, including ATV and snowmobile riding, horseback, and backcountry hunting. The rig is positioned so it does not conflict with a backpack harness or belt-mounted accessory pouches.

Versatile Carry for Active Use

Chest carry keeps the pistol within reach during movement without requiring the wearer to clear a jacket hem or unthread a belt. The Velcro keepers hold the holster body in position while still allowing the quick adjustments the Gen II is built around. For anyone who regularly switches between pistol configurations, or who needs a holster that works across seasons and activities, the Big Rig Gen II is designed to stay useful rather than becoming a single-purpose item.

Features

Multi-configuration fit: adjusting slots and Velcro keepers accommodate a bare pistol, frame-mounted light (SureFire X300, Streamlight TLR-1), MRDS, or light and MRDS combined

Chest-carry design: positions the pistol for access during ATV, snowmobile, horseback, and hunting use without interfering with backpack or belt pouches

Cold-weather adjustability: expands to fit over layered gear; cinches down for minimalist carry

Right- and left-hand versions: available in both orientations

Made in America: manufactured in the USA

Specifications

Specification

Detail

Brand

Viking Tactics (VTAC)

Model

Big Rig Gen II Auto (Optics)

Carry Position

Chest

Compatible Lights

SureFire X300, Streamlight TLR-1, small frame-mounted lights

Optic Compatibility

Mini Red Dot Sight (MRDS)

Colors

Black, Coyote

Hand Orientation

Right Hand, Left Hand

Weight

1 lb

Packaged Dimensions

12 x 1 x 12 in

Origin

Made in USA

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Big Rig Gen II suits shooters who carry a pistol in the field during activities where hip carry is impractical, including ATV and snowmobile riding, horseback, and hunting. The Viking Tactics Big Rig Gen II Auto Holster is specifically designed to accommodate a pistol equipped with both a frame-mounted light and a Mini Red Dot Sight simultaneously. The adjusting slots and Velcro keepers allow the holster body to be repositioned to fit that combination, as well as a bare pistol or either accessory alone.

Which frame-mounted lights does the Big Rig Gen II accept?

The Big Rig Gen II Auto Holster fits pistols with the SureFire X300 and Streamlight TLR-1, and is described as compatible with small frame-mounted lights generally. The Viking Tactics Big Rig Gen II is designed to adjust outward to fit over cold-weather layering and can be cinched down for a closer fit in warmer conditions. This range of adjustment is one of the holster's primary design goals, making it suitable for year-round outdoor use.

Will the Big Rig Gen II conflict with a backpack or belt pouches?

No. The Big Rig Gen II chest holster is positioned to avoid interference with a backpack harness and belt-mounted accessory pouches.
