tasmanian-tiger-small-combi-rig-modular-belt-harness
Tasmanian Tiger Small Combi Rig Modular Belt Harness

The Tasmanian Tiger Small Combi Rig is a lightweight, modular belt harness designed for operators who need a configurable magazine-carrying solution that works standalone or mounts to a plate carrier. Weighing 1.56 lb (710g), it ships in four colors: Black, Olive, Coyote, and Multicam.

Built to Reconfigure on the Fly

The Small Combi Rig's magazine module attaches and detaches via hook-and-loop, so the harness can be stripped down or rebuilt to match the mission without tools. The covered hook-and-loop back doubles as a front flap for plate carriers, giving the rig a second role beyond standalone belt use. That kind of dual-purpose design reduces the number of separate pieces an operator has to manage.

Magazine Compatibility Across Platforms

The interchangeable magazine inserts accommodate three M4 (PMAG) magazines at 50g per insert, four pistol or MP7 magazines at 40g per insert, or three G36 magazines via a hook-and-loop separator. Switching between platforms means swapping inserts rather than replacing the entire rig, which matters when a team runs mixed weapon systems.

Removable Components, Flat Padded Straps

The additional accessories pocket (similar in design to the TT Tac Pouch 12, TT-7862) is fully removable, as are the laser-cut MOLLE side wings. Those wings accept standard MOLLE-compatible magazines or pouches, extending the rig's carrying capacity without adding fixed bulk. Flat padded straps distribute load evenly and keep the profile low under outer layers.

Features

Removable magazine module: hook-and-loop attachment for fast reconfiguration or plate-carrier integration

Interchangeable inserts: fits 3x M4 (PMAG) at 50g, 4x pistol/MP7 at 40g, or 3x G36 via hook-and-loop separator

Removable accessories pocket: similar to TT Tac Pouch 12 (TT-7862)

Laser-cut MOLLE side wings: removable, compatible with standard MOLLE magazines and pouches

Flat padded straps: adjustable for fit across body types

Dual-use hook-and-loop back: functions as a front flap on plate carriers

Specifications

Specification

Detail

Weight

1.56 lb / 710g

Material

CORDURA 700 denier (Multicam variant: 500 denier)

Colors available

Black, Olive, Coyote, Multicam

Magazine insert compatibility

3x M4 (PMAG) / 4x pistol or MP7 / 3x G36

Insert weights

M4 insert: 50g; pistol/MP7 insert: 40g

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Small Combi Rig suits military personnel, law enforcement officers, and serious recreational shooters who run M4, pistol, MP7, or G36 platforms and want a single harness that transitions between standalone belt use and plate-carrier integration. The adjustable straps and modular layout make it practical across a range of body types and loadout configurations.

The Small Combi Rig is not ballistic protection and provides no armor or stab-resistance of any kind. It is not intended as a standalone chest rig with full front and back coverage, and it does not include built-in hydration compatibility or radio pouches beyond what MOLLE-compatible accessories can add.

Common Questions

Can the Small Combi Rig be used without a plate carrier?

Yes. The Tasmanian Tiger Small Combi Rig functions as a standalone belt harness with its own adjustable padded straps. The hook-and-loop magazine module and MOLLE side wings are fully operational in this configuration. The covered hook-and-loop back is the feature specifically designed to mount to a plate carrier's front when that integration is preferred.

Which magazine types does the rig support?

The Small Combi Rig uses interchangeable inserts: one insert holds three M4 (PMAG) magazines and weighs 50g; another holds four pistol or MP7 magazines and weighs 40g. A hook-and-loop separator accommodates three G36 magazines. Inserts are swapped rather than replaced, so the rig adapts to different weapon platforms without purchasing a new harness.

What is the difference between the Multicam variant and the other colors?

The Multicam variant of the Small Combi Rig is made from CORDURA 500 denier fabric. The Black, Olive, and Coyote variants use CORDURA 700 denier. Both weights are durable woven nylon; the 700 denier is heavier-weave. All four variants share the same weight of 1.56 lb (710g) and the same modular feature set.

Are the MOLLE side wings and accessories pocket included?

The Small Combi Rig includes laser-cut MOLLE side wings and a removable accessories pocket (similar in design to the TT Tac Pouch 12, TT-7862). Both are removable. The MOLLE wings accept standard MOLLE-compatible magazines or pouches; the pocket provides additional storage separate from the magazine module.

Can the Small Combi Rig ship to my state?

The Tasmanian Tiger Small Combi Rig is a non-ballistic tactical carrier and is not subject to the body armor shipping restrictions that apply to New York and Connecticut. No state-level restrictions apply to this product. This product is not body armor, so 18 U.S.C. § 931 does not apply.
