tasmanian-tiger-medic-hip-bag
Tasmanian Tiger Medic Hip Bag

The Tasmanian Tiger Medic Hip Bag is an ergonomically designed carry solution for medical personnel and tactical operators who need fast, organized access to medical equipment. Built around a 9-liter (183 cu in) interior with variable fixation points, the bag is sized at 12.5 x 6 x 6.5 in and weighs 30 oz (549 g). It is available in Black, Olive, Coyote, Multicam, and Red.

Organized Access When It Counts

The Tasmanian Tiger Medic Hip Bag features internal variable fixation points designed to hold medical equipment securely in place and prevent shifting during movement. A dedicated scissors pouch keeps cutting tools immediately reachable without digging through the main compartment. The lid opens upward, so the full interior is visible and accessible in a single motion rather than requiring the bag to be set down or repositioned.

Flexible Carry, Multiple Platforms

The removable hip belt lets the Medic Hip Bag convert to a shoulder bag when a hip-carry configuration is not practical. Included adapters allow the bag to attach directly to a plate carrier, keeping medical supplies on the operator's body without occupying a separate bag slot. The side pockets carry lasercut MOLLE strips and hook-and-loop panels, so additional pouches can be mounted to expand capacity without replacing the bag itself.

Durable Construction for Field Use

The Medic Hip Bag is constructed from CORDURA 700-denier fabric in Black, Olive, Coyote, and Red colorways. The Multicam variant uses CORDURA 500-denier fabric. Both weights are purpose-selected for the application: the heavier 700-denier shell resists abrasion in demanding environments, while the Multicam version balances durability with the weight and profile expectations of that pattern's typical use context.

Features

Upward-opening lid: provides full interior visibility and single-motion access

Internal variable fixation points: adjustable retention for medical equipment and supplies

Scissors pouch: dedicated fixation for scissors and similar tools

Removable hip belt and detachable shoulder strap: two carry modes from one bag

Plate carrier adapters included: attaches directly to compatible plate carriers without additional hardware

Lasercut MOLLE on sides: modular exterior expansion via hook-and-loop and MOLLE hook strips

Specifications

Specification

Value

Volume

9 L / 183 cu in

Weight

30 oz / 549 g

Dimensions

12.5 x 6 x 6.5 in / 32 x 16 x 17 cm

Material (Black, Olive, Coyote, Red)

CORDURA 700 denier

Material (Multicam)

CORDURA 500 denier

Available Colors

Black, Olive, Coyote, Multicam, Red

Carry Modes

Hip belt, shoulder strap, plate carrier mount

Plate Carrier Adapters

Included

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Tasmanian Tiger Medic Hip Bag suits tactical medics, combat lifesavers, law enforcement officers, and field personnel who need organized, body-worn medical storage with fast one-handed access. The multi-platform attachment system makes it practical for operators who move between plate carriers, duty belts, and shoulder-carry configurations.

This bag is not a ballistic or protective product and carries no armor rating of any kind. It is not designed as a general-purpose tactical pack or a primary mission bag for gear beyond its 9-liter capacity. No waterproof or submersible rating is stated for this bag.

Common Questions

How does the Medic Hip Bag attach to a plate carrier?

The Tasmanian Tiger Medic Hip Bag includes adapters in the package that allow it to mount directly to a compatible plate carrier. No additional hardware is required for that attachment. The bag's side panels also carry lasercut MOLLE strips for attaching supplemental pouches to the bag itself once it is mounted.

Can the hip belt be removed to use this as a shoulder bag?

Yes. The Medic Hip Bag's hip belt is removable and the bag includes a detachable shoulder strap, so it can be carried on the shoulder when a hip configuration is not suitable. This makes the same bag usable across different carry contexts without modification beyond swapping the strap.

Is the fabric the same across all color options?

Not exactly. The Black, Olive, Coyote, and Red variants of the Tasmanian Tiger Medic Hip Bag use CORDURA 700-denier fabric. The Multicam variant uses CORDURA 500-denier fabric. The denier difference is specific to those colorways.

What can be mounted to the exterior of the bag?

The Tasmanian Tiger Medic Hip Bag has lasercut MOLLE strips on the side pockets along with MOLLE hook-and-loop panels, allowing compatible pouches and accessories to be attached to the exterior. This lets operators expand the bag's accessible storage without replacing it.

Are there any shipping restrictions for this product?

The Tasmanian Tiger Medic Hip Bag is a non-ballistic tactical bag and is not subject to body armor shipping restrictions. No state-level restrictions apply to this product based on its category. Standard shipping eligibility applies; contact us with any questions about your order.
