silynx-clarus-vip-covert-tactical-headset
Silynx CLARUS VIP COVERT In-Ear Tactical Headset

The Silynx CLARUS VIP COVERT is a compact, lightweight in-ear tactical headset system built for covert security and communication missions. Weighing 70 g as a complete headset and 5 g at the earbud, the system is designed to be worn discreetly under clothing, with exposed components styled to resemble a standard civilian mobile phone headset. The CLARUS VIP COVERT is available in Black.

Built for Covert Operations

The CLARUS VIP COVERT keeps the controller and radio device concealed beneath clothing while the visible earbud mimics the look of an everyday consumer headset, with no boom microphone and no tactical hardware in plain sight. For operators who need to communicate without drawing attention, this design removes a common visual indicator of professional radio use. The system provides no phone functionality, so the covert appearance is purely operational cover, not a dual-use consumer device.

Clear Communication Without a Boom Mic

The CLARUS VIP COVERT uses Silynx's "Talking from the Ear" microphone technology, which captures the user's inner auditory echo directly from the ear canal to transmit voice without a traditional boom or lapel microphone. The headset provides both impulse and steady-state noise protection, allowing communication in high-noise environments. When connected to a Clarus control box (sold separately), the system also enables enhanced hearing and natural sound localization, supporting full situational awareness during active operations.

Modular Radio Compatibility

The CLARUS VIP COVERT includes interchangeable radio connection leads, so the headset connects to a wide range of communication devices without replacing the headset or controller. Only the cable changes when the radio changes. The system supports wired Push-to-Talk operation and wireless PTT control via the included key-fob style PTT device. The headset side uses a Quick Disconnect (QDC) connector, and the system is confirmed compatible with the Clarus I and Clarus II control boxes.

Features

Covert form factor: exposed components styled to resemble a civilian mobile phone headset; controller worn under clothing

"Talking from the Ear" microphone: captures inner auditory echo for clear voice transmission without boom or lapel mic

Impulse and steady-state noise protection: in-ear design provides both passive and active noise protection

Key-fob PTT included: supports both wired and wireless Push-to-Talk operation

Interchangeable radio connection leads: plug-and-play cable swap for multi-radio compatibility

Fully waterproof: in-ear headset rated to 1 m immersion for 30 min; MIL-STD-810F Immersion standard

Specifications

Specification

Value

Earbud weight

5 g

Headset weight

70 g

Speaker frequency spectrum

60 Hz to 10,000 Hz

Operating temperature

-40°C to +72°C

Waterproof rating, in-ear headset

1 m immersion for 30 min

Waterproof rating, control box

20 m immersion for 30 min

Environmental standard

MIL-STD-810F Immersion

Network to ear allocation

Yes

PTT included

Key-fob style Push-to-Talk device

Control box compatibility

Clarus I, Clarus II (sold separately)

Color

Black

SKU

HSW0001-B-20

Who This Is For and Isn't

The CLARUS VIP COVERT suits covert security operators, plainclothes law enforcement, and close-protection professionals who need discreet radio communication in environments where visible tactical gear would compromise their cover.
