rothco-rubberized-rainwear-poncho
Rothco Rubberized Rainwear Poncho

The Rothco Rubberized Rainwear Poncho is a full-coverage rain poncho constructed from a 70% PVC / 30% rubber outer shell, measuring 50 inches by 80 inches. Designed for hikers, campers, and emergency-preparedness kits, the poncho pairs snap closures with a polyester inner lining to keep rain out while remaining comfortable to wear. One size is available.

Built to Block Rain

The Rothco Rubberized Rainwear Poncho's outer shell is made from a 70% PVC / 30% rubber blend at 0.33 mm thickness. That combination creates a water-resistant barrier that sheds rain without the stiffness of heavier rubberized gear, so the poncho stays manageable during active use. Snap closures along the edges seal the fit and reduce the gaps where wind-driven rain typically enters.

Coverage Without Bulk

At 50 inches wide by 80 inches long, the Rothco Rubberized Rainwear Poncho provides head-to-toe coverage for most wearers. Despite its generous dimensions, the poncho weighs 2.6 lbs, which keeps it packable enough to stow in a daypack or emergency bag without taking up significant space.

Comfortable Enough for Extended Wear

The polyester inner lining of the Rothco Rubberized Rainwear Poncho sits against the wearer rather than the raw PVC/rubber shell, reducing the clammy feel common in unlined rain gear. For hikes, outdoor events, or extended emergency situations where the poncho may be worn for hours, that lining difference is noticeable.

Features

70% PVC / 30% Rubber Outer: water-resistant shell rated for rain protection

0.33 mm Material Thickness: durable construction that stays lightweight and packable

50" x 80" Dimensions: full head-to-toe coverage for most wearers

Snap Closures: secure the fit and reduce rain entry at the edges

Polyester Inner Lining: softer against skin than bare PVC for extended wear

Specifications

Specification

Detail

Outer Material

70% PVC / 30% Rubber

Inner Lining

Polyester

Material Thickness

0.33 mm

Dimensions

50" x 80"

Weight

2.6 lbs

Water Resistant

Yes

Closure Type

Snap closures

Country of Origin

China

California Proposition 65 Warning: This product contains Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Rothco Rubberized Rainwear Poncho suits hikers, campers, and anyone building an emergency preparedness kit who needs reliable, packable rain coverage.
