The expandable main compartment is sized to hold a hydration bladder (sold separately), and the shoulder straps route the drinking hose to either side for ambidextrous access. The pack measures 16.5" x 8.75" x 3" and weighs 1.7 lb empty.

Built for Hands-Free Hydration

The Quickstrike's main compartment expands to accommodate a hydration bladder, and each 15.5" padded shoulder strap includes elastic loops and a D-ring to secure the hose in place. The hose port works on the left or right strap, so the pack suits left- and right-handed users equally. Rothco's 2.5L Hydration Bladder (item #2811) is compatible but sold separately. The pack ships without a bladder.

Secure Fit on the Move

Quick-release buckle straps at the center chest and waist keep the Quickstrike stable during runs, rides, and trail descents where a loose pack becomes a distraction. Back-side pads sit between the pack body and the wearer's back, spacing the shell away from the spine to allow airflow and reduce heat buildup during extended activity.

Organized Storage and MOLLE Attachment

A front zippered compartment (12" x 7.5") holds a key clip and two mesh pockets (4.5" x 3.75" each) for small essentials. The exterior of that compartment carries a 4 x 4 grid of MOLLE loops for attaching compatible pouches or accessories, and a 2" x 6" loop field at the top front accepts morale patches. The MOLLE panel makes it useful for anyone who already carries compatible pouches and wants to consolidate gear.

The Quickstrike does not include a hydration bladder. Buyers who need one must purchase it separately. The pack is not designed as a multi-day load carrier or a primary storage pack for extended backcountry trips; its 3" depth limits total volume. It carries no ballistic rating and provides no protective function.

Common Questions

Does the hydration bladder come included?

The Rothco Quickstrike Tactical Hydration Backpack does not include a hydration bladder. The main compartment is designed to hold one, and the pack is compatible with Rothco's 2.5L Hydration Bladder (item #2811), which is sold separately. Any bladder that fits the compartment dimensions and uses a standard hose can also be used.

Can I route the drinking hose to either side?

Yes. The Quickstrike Hydration Backpack routes the bladder hose through the top of either the left or the right shoulder strap, making it equally usable for left- and right-handed drinkers. Each 15.5" padded strap includes elastic loops and a D-ring to hold the hose securely in place while moving.

How does the pack stay stable during running or cycling?

In addition to padded shoulder straps, the Quickstrike includes quick-release buckle straps at the center chest and waist. These straps pull the pack close to the body and reduce lateral movement during runs, rides, or fast-paced hikes. All three points can be released quickly when the pack needs to come off.

What can I attach to the MOLLE panel?

The front compartment of the Quickstrike Hydration Backpack features a 4 x 4 grid of MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-Carrying Equipment) loops. Any standard MOLLE-compatible pouch, utility attachment, or accessory can be woven onto the panel. A separate 2" x 6" loop field at the top front is sized for morale patches.

What is the pack's overall size and weight?

The Rothco Quickstrike measures 16.5" x 8.75" x 3" and weighs 1.7 lb empty.
