rothco-full-finger-rappelling-gloves
Rothco Full-Finger Rappelling Gloves

The Rothco Full-Finger Rappelling Gloves are cowhide leather tactical gloves built for rappelling, climbing, and high-demand field tasks, suited to public safety professionals and tactical users who need full hand coverage without losing grip or dexterity. The shell is genuine cowhide leather with suede palms, foam-padded knuckles and back, and a hook-and-loop wrist closure. Available in S, M, L, and XL.

Built to Take the Load

The Rothco Full-Finger Rappelling Gloves use a genuine cowhide leather shell, a material that resists abrasion and holds its shape under repeated friction when a rope or rough surface is running across your hand. Cowhide stiffens less than synthetic alternatives in cold conditions, so the gloves stay workable across a range of environments. These gloves are rated for cold weather use.

Protection Where Contact Happens

Foam padding covers the back of the hand and knuckles, reducing the effect of impacts from debris or contact during rappelling and climbing. The suede palm surface adds grip and a layer of durability in the area that takes the most friction during rope work. Full-finger coverage means no exposed skin on any part of the hand, which matters when working in tight spaces or around rough surfaces.

Stays Secure During Use

A hook-and-loop wrist closure lets the wearer dial in fit before a task and keeps the glove from shifting during movement. The closure is adjustable, so the same glove works across different wrist sizes within each size band. The full-finger design means the fit of the hand portion itself contributes to stability during use, not the closure alone.

Features

Genuine cowhide leather shell: abrasion-resistant outer layer suited to rope work and rough surfaces

Suede palms: added grip and durability in the highest-friction zone

Foam-padded back and knuckles: reduces impact from debris and contact

Full-finger design: complete hand coverage while maintaining dexterity

Hook-and-loop wrist closure: adjustable, secure fit throughout use

Specifications

Specification

Detail

Shell material

Genuine cowhide leather

Palm material

Suede

Padding

Foam (back of hand and knuckles)

Closure

Hook and loop (wrist)

Color

Black

Weather rating

Cold weather

Size S dimensions

Length 8-1/2 in, width 3-3/4 in

Size M dimensions

Length 8-3/4 in, width 4 in

Size L dimensions

Length 9 in, width 4-1/4 in

Size XL dimensions

Length 9-1/4 in, width 4-1/2 in

Country of manufacture

Pakistan

Available sizes

S, M, L, XL

California Proposition 65 Warning: This product contains Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Who This Is For and Isn't

These gloves suit rappellers, climbers, and public safety or tactical professionals who need full hand coverage, abrasion resistance, and reliable grip during rope work or physically demanding field tasks.
