rothco-forced-entry-security-boot-8-inch
Rothco Forced Entry Security Boot 8 Inch

The Rothco Forced Entry Security Boot is an 8-inch tactical duty boot built for security professionals and law enforcement personnel who need reliable ankle support, all-day comfort, and durable construction through long shifts. The upper combines leather and denier nylon, a steel shank provides structural stability underfoot, and a slip-resistant cup sole delivers traction on varied surfaces. Available in whole and half sizes from 5 through 13.

Built to Last Through Long Shifts

The Forced Entry Security Boot uses a leather and denier nylon upper that resists abrasion and holds its shape under repeated daily use. Leather is naturally stiff enough to provide lateral ankle support while nylon panels reduce overall weight and allow the boot to flex where needed. For security professionals logging eight to twelve hours on their feet, a construction that does not break down quickly is a practical necessity, not a luxury.

Stability and Traction Where It Counts

A steel shank runs through the midsole to resist torsional flex and transfer energy efficiently when walking on uneven ground or climbing stairs. The front-stitched sole and slip-resistant cup sole work together to maintain grip on smooth floors, wet pavement, and outdoor surfaces. Reducing the chance of a slip during a dynamic situation is exactly the kind of passive safety feature that earns its place in a duty boot.

Comfort Details for Extended Wear

The collar is lined with pigskin leather, which softens against the ankle and reduces the hot spots that standard synthetic collars can create over a full shift. A moisture-wicking lining moves perspiration away from the foot to keep conditions inside the boot drier and more comfortable in warm environments. The Forced Entry Security Boot is rated for cold-weather use, extending its usefulness into cooler climates and seasonal outdoor assignments.

Features

Leather and Denier Nylon Upper: Combines abrasion resistance with flexibility for long-term durability.

Pigskin Leather Collar: Softens contact at the ankle to reduce irritation during extended wear.

Moisture-Wicking Lining: Draws perspiration away from the foot to maintain drier interior conditions.

Steel Shank: Provides torsional stability and underfoot support across long shifts.

Slip-Resistant Cup Sole: Front-stitched construction and cup sole design deliver grip on varied surfaces.

ISO Certified: Manufactured under ISO-certified quality standards.

Specifications

Specification

Detail

Upper Material

Leather and denier nylon

Collar Material

Pigskin leather

Shank

Steel

Closure

Laces

Shaft Height

8 inches

Color

Black

Cold Weather Rated

Yes

Certification

ISO Certified

Available Sizes

5, 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10, 10.5, 11, 12, 13

Country of Origin

China

WARNING: This product can expose you to Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. The sole is a slip-resistant cup sole with front-stitched construction, and the shank is steel for structural underfoot support, but no safety-toe or puncture-resistance rating is stated for this model.

How does the steel shank differ from a steel toe?

In the Rothco Forced Entry Security Boot, the steel shank is a rigid plate embedded in the midsole between the heel and ball of the foot. It resists torsional flex and provides arch and underfoot support during long periods of standing or walking. A steel shank is a structural support feature, not a toe-impact protection feature, and this boot does not carry a safety-toe rating.

Is this boot suitable for cold weather?

The Rothco Forced Entry Security Boot is rated for cold-weather use.
