A large main compartment, front pocket, dual snap-button flap closure, and detachable adjustable shoulder strap make it a practical daily organizer for field use, hiking, or commuting.

Room for What You Carry

The Rothco Canvas Map Case Shoulder Bag's main compartment includes an internal divider, giving tablets, phones, multitools, and similar essentials a dedicated place rather than a single pile. The front pocket adds a second layer of organization with slots and elastic straps sized for pens and smaller tools, so frequently reached-for items stay accessible without digging through the main compartment.

Canvas Built to Take Use

The bag is constructed from Rothco's heavyweight canvas fabric, which the brand describes as naturally water-resistant and built for extended use. A hard board stiffener on the back panel adds structural rigidity, keeping the bag's shape under load and providing a stable surface when the bag is set down. Canvas construction also means the bag resists the kind of abrasion that wears through lighter synthetic materials over time.

Carry How It Suits You

The detachable shoulder strap extends to 42 inches, long enough for cross-body carry across most torso sizes. Detaching it entirely leaves a compact bag that can be hand-carried or stowed. The dual snap-button flap closure secures the main compartment without requiring a zipper, keeping the closure mechanism simple and field-serviceable.

Features

Large main compartment with divider: stores tablets, phones, multitools, and similar essentials.

Front pocket with slots and elastic straps: dedicated storage for pens and smaller tools.

Dual snap-button flap closure: secures the main compartment without a zipper.

Hard board back stiffener: adds structural stability and keeps the bag's shape under load.

Detachable adjustable shoulder strap: extends to 42 inches for cross-body or shoulder carry.

Heavyweight canvas construction: naturally water-resistant and abrasion-resistant.

Specifications

Specification

Detail

Material

Heavyweight canvas

Dimensions

12" x 8.5" x 4.5"

Closure

Dual snap-button flap

Shoulder strap

Detachable, adjustable to 42"

Colors available

Black, Olive Drab, Coyote Brown, Earth Brown, Khaki

Weight (approx.)

1.30–1.35 lb depending on color

Country of manufacture

India

Prop 65 chemical

Di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP)

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Rothco Canvas Map Case Shoulder Bag suits everyday carry users, hikers, and field personnel who want a compact, structured canvas bag for organizing documents, small electronics, and hand tools.
