rothco-ansi-z87-1-interchangeable-sport-glass-kit
Rothco ANSI Z87.1 Interchangeable Sport Glass Kit

The Rothco ANSI Z87.1 Interchangeable Sport Glass Kit is a three-lens eyewear system built to ANSI-Z87.1 safety standards, suited to soldiers, pilots, MilSim participants, and outdoor enthusiasts who need reliable eye protection across changing light conditions. The kit ships with a clear lens, a yellow lens, and a smoke grey lens, all sized for the same black nylon frame.

Three Lenses, One Frame

The Rothco Sport Glass Kit centers on a single nylon frame that accepts three interchangeable lenses, each ground to 2.2mm polycarbonate. Swapping lenses takes seconds, so the same pair of glasses moves from a shaded outdoor range to a low-light indoor environment without requiring a second set of eyewear. All three lenses carry anti-fog and anti-scratch coatings, which extend usable life under field conditions.

Lens-by-Lens Capability

The clear lens meets the ANSI-Z87.1 standard for safety eyewear and is suited to airsoft and general safety applications where optical clarity without tint is required. The yellow lens combats UV light and increases contrast, making it useful for shooting, sports, and aviation. The smoke grey lens reduces overall brightness, functioning as a conventional pair of sunglasses when conditions call for it.

Fit and Retention

The frame uses a black nylon construction with a soft nose piece designed for extended wear. An adjustable elastic strap secures the glasses around the face, providing retention during physical activity or when worn under a helmet. The strap is adjustable to accommodate different head sizes without tools.

Features

ANSI-Z87.1 Rated: all three lenses meet the ANSI-Z87.1 safety standard

Three Interchangeable Lenses: 2.2mm polycarbonate clear, yellow, and smoke grey

Anti-Fog and Anti-Scratch Coatings: applied to all lenses for durability in field use

Adjustable Elastic Strap: secures the frame around the face during active use

Soft Nose Piece: nylon frame with cushioned nose contact for extended wear comfort

Storage and Carry Included: zippered half-round hard case and a soft pouch for cleaning and storage

Specifications

Specification

Detail

Brand

Rothco

Frame Material

Nylon

Lens Material

2.2mm polycarbonate

Lenses Included

Clear, yellow, smoke grey

Safety Standard

ANSI-Z87.1

Lens Coatings

Anti-fog, anti-scratch

Retention

Adjustable elastic strap

Included Accessories

Zippered half-round hard case, soft storage and cleaning pouch

Weight

0.6 lb (packaged)

Country of Origin

Taiwan

Who This Is For and Isn't

This kit suits soldiers, pilots, MilSim and airsoft participants, and outdoor users who move between light conditions and want a single eyewear platform with interchangeable lenses rated to ANSI-Z87.1.
