The earbuds ship in black and silver and include a carrying case.

Hearing Protection That Still Lets You Hear

The Vertex earbuds provide NRR 21dB of in-ear noise reduction while two omni-directional microphones amplify ambient sounds up to 5X. This means a user can hold a conversation or hear range commands without removing the earbuds, then rely on the same earbuds to attenuate harmful impulse noise. Two selectable compression thresholds (85dB and 105dB) let the wearer match the cutoff to the noise environment, whether that is sustained machinery noise or intermittent gunfire.

Bluetooth Connectivity for Calls and Media

Bluetooth 5.0 allows the earbuds to pair with a phone or radio for answering calls or streaming audio without breaking the protective seal. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery delivers up to 9 hours of run time, and recharging is handled through the included USB-C cable, keeping the earbuds ready across a full shift or range session.

Fit and Field Durability

Three rubber ear tip sizes are included so the wearer can achieve a consistent acoustic seal regardless of ear canal size. The reflective woven cable connecting the two earpods allows them to be draped around the neck when not in use, reducing the chance of misplacement. The three ear tip sizes and corded design make them a practical choice for extended wear where losing an earbud is a concern.

These earbuds are not a substitute for higher-attenuation hearing protection in environments that require NRR ratings above 21dB. The corded design means they are not fully wireless. No waterproof or water-resistance rating is stated for these earbuds, so wet-condition suitability cannot be assumed.

Common Questions

What noise reduction rating do the Radians Vertex earbuds carry?

The Radians Vertex Corded Bluetooth Earbuds are rated at NRR 21dB. This rating reflects in-ear passive noise reduction. The active compression feature adds selectable cutoff thresholds at 85dB and 105dB, limiting amplified ambient sound to whichever level the wearer selects.

Can these earbuds amplify ambient sounds while still protecting hearing?

Yes. The Radians Vertex earbuds use two omni-directional in-ear microphones to amplify surrounding sounds up to 5X, allowing the wearer to hear conversation and environmental cues clearly. The Hi-Low compression circuit then limits sound at either 85dB or 105dB so harmful noise levels are attenuated automatically.

How long does the battery last, and how do the earbuds recharge?

The Radians Vertex earbuds provide up to 9 hours of run time on a full charge. Recharging is done via the included USB-C cable, which connects to the earbuds' built-in lithium-ion battery. No external charging case is required.

What Bluetooth version do the Vertex earbuds use, and what can they connect to?

The Radians Vertex earbuds use Bluetooth 5.0. They can pair with a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device for answering phone calls or streaming audio, while the wearer maintains the NRR 21dB hearing protection seal provided by the in-ear tips.

What is included in the box with the Radians Vertex earbuds?

The Radians Vertex Corded Bluetooth Earbuds ship with three rubber ear tip sizes (small, medium, and large implied by "three sizes"), a USB-C charging cable, and a carrying case.
