radians-vertex-bluetooth-earbuds-nrr-21db-hearing-protection
Radians Vertex Bluetooth Earbuds NRR 21dB Hearing Protection

The Radians Vertex is a rechargeable in-ear electronic hearing protector rated at 21dB NRR, designed for sport shooters and hunters who need both noise suppression and situational awareness. Ambient sound is amplified up to 5X through two omni-directional microphones, while harmful noise is compressed at a choice of two levels: 85dB or 105dB. The set ships with a storage case and is available in a Tan and Black colorway.

Amplification That Works Both Ways

The Vertex earbuds use two omni-directional in-ear microphones to pick up and amplify ambient sound up to 5X, so a shooter can hold a conversation, hear range commands, or track game movement without removing protection. When a shot fires or another loud impulse occurs, the electronics compress the incoming signal at whichever threshold the wearer has selected: 85dB or 105dB. The lower 85dB setting suits shooters who want tighter control over peak noise; the 105dB setting allows more natural sound through before compression kicks in.

Long Runtime, Simple Recharging

The Vertex earbuds run for 35 hours on a full charge from their built-in lithium ion battery. Recharging uses a USB-C cable, which is included, so the earbuds work with the same chargers most shooters already carry. The storage case included with the set keeps the earbuds and cable together between sessions.

Fit Across Different Ear Sizes

Three rubber ear tip sizes are included so wearers can match the seal to their ear canal, and a proper seal is what delivers the rated 21dB NRR attenuation. The 9mm dynamic range speakers sit inside soft rubber tips for extended-wear comfort. A woven cable lanyard lets the wearer drop the earbuds around the neck between strings or stands without setting them down.

Features

21dB NRR: in-ear noise reduction rating for hearing protection

5X ambient amplification: enhances everyday sounds through two omni-directional microphones

High/Low compression: selectable thresholds at 85dB and 105dB

35-hour runtime: rechargeable lithium ion battery, USB-C cable included

Three ear tip sizes: small, medium, and large rubber tips for a fitted seal

Storage case included: keeps earbuds and cable organized between uses

Specifications

Specification

Detail

NRR

21dB

Ambient amplification

Up to 5X

Compression levels

85dB (High) and 105dB (Low)

Speaker size

9mm dynamic range

Microphones

2 omni-directional in-ear

Battery

Rechargeable lithium ion

Runtime per charge

35 hours

Charging connection

USB-C (cable included)

Ear tip sizes included

3 (rubber)

Included accessories

USB-C charging cable, woven cable lanyard, storage case

Color

Tan and Black

SKU

RAD VX-AC40

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Radians Vertex suits sport shooters and hunters who want electronic hearing protection with long battery life and the ability to hear range commands or ambient sounds clearly between loud noise events. The three included ear tip sizes make the earbuds workable for a range of ear canal sizes, and the selectable compression threshold lets the wearer tune the response to the shooting environment.

The Vertex earbuds are not rated for industrial or occupational hearing protection programs that require higher NRR values. No swim or submersion rating is stated. The product uses a woven cable lanyard connecting the earbuds; buyers seeking fully wireless earbuds should confirm connectivity before purchasing.

Common Questions

What noise reduction rating do the Radians Vertex earbuds carry?

The Radians Vertex earbuds are rated at 21dB NRR. That rating applies when the correct ear tip size is seated properly to form a seal in the ear canal. Three rubber tip sizes (small, medium, and large) are included to help achieve that fit.

Can the compression threshold be adjusted?

Yes. The Radians Vertex offers two selectable compression levels: 85dB and 105dB. The 85dB setting compresses incoming sound more aggressively, which suits high-volume environments. The 105dB setting allows louder ambient sound through before compression activates, which some shooters prefer for a more natural listening experience between shots.

How long does the battery last, and how do the earbuds recharge?

The Radians Vertex earbuds deliver 35 hours of use per full charge. Recharging is done via USB-C; the cable is included in the box. The built-in lithium ion battery is not user-replaceable.

What is included with the Radians Vertex earbuds?

The Radians Vertex set includes the earbuds with woven cable lanyard, three rubber ear tip sizes, a USB-C charging cable, and a storage case.
