A hard knuckle shell and reinforced palm construction address the demands of high-contact field work. Available in Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large.

Built for Contact and Control

The Hard Knuckle Tactical Glove uses an injection-molded STPA hard knuckle covered with goatskin, a construction that suppresses noise on contact and reduces infrared signature. Both qualities are practical advantages in low-profile or night-operations contexts. Hard knuckle and finger padding extend protection across the full dorsal surface, not just the primary knuckles.

Materials That Work Across the Hand

9 oz. Kevlar on the back of the hand provides fire and cut resistance where the hand is most exposed. The palm uses reinforced leather in an ergonomic layout, and an additional layer of highly abrasion-resistant Clarino synthetic leather adds grip durability at the palm reinforcement zone. The back-of-hand knit material is durable, flexible, and moisture-wicking, which supports extended wear in variable conditions.

Fit, Closure, and Touchscreen Compatibility

A hook-and-loop wrist closure secures the glove without tools and allows quick adjustment over different sleeve thicknesses. The fingertips use touchscreen-capable synthetic leather through HWI's Touch Tool design, so the glove does not need to come off to operate a phone, tablet, or other capacitive-touch device in the field.

Features

STPA Hard Knuckle: Injection-molded, goatskin-covered to suppress contact noise and reduce IR signature

9 oz. No cut-resistance standard (such as ANSI/ISEA or EN 388 level) is stated for this glove. The goatskin cover suppresses the noise a bare plastic knuckle would make on contact with surfaces or equipment and reduces the glove's infrared signature, both relevant in low-light or covert operational contexts where sound and heat discipline matter.

What kind of cut and fire resistance does the Kevlar layer provide?

The back of the HWI Hard Knuckle Tactical Glove uses 9 oz. Kevlar, which provides fire and cut resistance. No specific cut-resistance level or standard (such as ANSI/ISEA or EN 388) is stated for this model. Buyers with compliance requirements for a rated cut level should confirm whether this construction meets their specific standard.

Can these gloves be used with a touchscreen phone or tablet?

Yes. The HWI Hard Knuckle Tactical Glove uses touchscreen-capable synthetic leather at the fingertips through HWI's Touch Tool design, allowing operation of capacitive-touch devices (phones, tablets, and similar screens) without removing the glove.

How does the wrist closure work, and how secure is the fit?

The HWI Hard Knuckle Tactical Glove uses a hook-and-loop wrist closure that can be adjusted for fit and tightened over different sleeve thicknesses. This type of closure allows quick on/off without tools and holds position during active use without requiring a precise pre-set adjustment.

What sizes are available, and how should I choose?

The HWI Hard Knuckle Tactical Glove is available in Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large.
