Its multi-fit design accommodates a wide range of pistols, including optic-ready configurations, in Stealth Black finish.

Leather Built to Last

The BH24S is constructed from 100% Certified American Heavy Native Steerhide leather, a dense, durable hide that holds its shape under daily carry. Reinforced stitching runs throughout the holster, adding structural integrity at the stress points that see the most use during draw and re-holster cycles.

Open Top for a Clean, Fast Draw

The open-top design removes the retention strap from the draw path entirely, allowing a smooth, unobstructed presentation regardless of carry style. Retention is provided by the holster's molded fit rather than an active mechanism, so the firearm stays secure during movement while clearing cleanly when needed.

Multi-Fit Compatibility Across Compact Platforms

The BH24S seats compact and carry-sized pistols with 4-inch barrels flush and is built to accommodate the smaller carry variants of full-frame firearms. The optic-ready designation means the holster mouth is cut to clear common slide-mounted optics without requiring a separate model. The confirmed compatibility list spans more than three dozen pistols from FN Herstal, Heckler & Koch, Sig Sauer, Walther, Ruger, and others. The multi-fit design makes it a practical choice for shooters who own more than one pistol on the compatibility list.

This holster is not configured for left-hand draw. It does not include active retention (thumb break or hood), so it is not suited to applications that require a retention-rated duty holster. Firearms not on the confirmed compatibility list are not guaranteed to fit, and full-size pistols with barrels longer than 4 inches are outside the stated design intent.

Common Questions

Which firearms fit the BH24S?

The 1791 Gunleather BH24S is confirmed to fit more than three dozen compact and carry-sized pistols with 4-inch barrels, including models from FN Herstal, Heckler & Koch, Sig Sauer, Walther, Ruger, CZ, and others. The full confirmed list appears in the Specifications table above. Firearms not on that list are not guaranteed to fit.

Does the BH24S work with a pistol that has a slide-mounted optic?

Yes. The BH24S carries an optic-ready designation, meaning the holster mouth is cut to clear slide-mounted optics on compatible pistols without requiring a separate model or modification. Confirm your specific optic footprint is compatible before purchase if your setup is non-standard.

What type of retention does the BH24S use?

The 1791 Gunleather BH24S uses passive, open-top retention: the firearm is held by the molded fit of the leather rather than a strap, thumb break, or active locking mechanism. This allows a clean, unobstructed draw but does not meet retention ratings required for some duty or uniformed-carry applications.

Is the BH24S available for left-hand draw?

The variant carried by Bulletproof Zone is configured for right-hand draw only. A left-hand version is not offered in this listing. No state-level purchase restrictions apply to this product.
